Primary Systems, Inc. is seeking a competent, motivated and ambitious Energy Management Account Executive to join our growing team! In this role, the Energy Management Account Executive (EMS Account Exec) will be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of our Energy Management and Automation customer base. Our EMS Account Exec will find, contact, and follow up with prospective and existing clients, contractors, and engineers; securing strong business relationships in order provide our customers with top notch Energy Management and Automation solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Manage and grow accounts consisting of building owners, end-users, engineers, and contractors.

  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.

  • Answer specific questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and management/automation solutions

  • Provide controls solutions, recommending products and services to customers, based on customers’ unique needs and interests.

  • Achieve booking and gross margin goals.

  • Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities throughout our customer base

  • Maintain knowledge of new and future products and features. 

  • Ensure customers are informed of current/developing product offerings.

  • Increase market penetration of all products and services within the target market

  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in industry related organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences.

  • Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and internal order forms.

  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports, resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Automation Technology, Energy Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Sales Management is desired, but not required

  • 3+ years’ experience in EMS/BAS/DDC Controls sales and account management

  • Able to work well on a team

  • Able to work with little to no supervision

  • Understanding of mechanical operations and EMS/BAS operations

  • Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check

  • Clean driving record
